Welcome to the 2010 USAID Economic Growth Officers’ Conference Website
The 2010 USAID Economic Growth Officers’ Conference was designed to build awareness and understanding of best practices in economic development; highlight recent developments, trends, and innovations in the field of economic development; and provide USAID officers an opportunity to share experiences and network with colleagues as well as with professionals from the broader community of practice.

The week-long event brought together more than 400 individuals from within the Agency, U.S. Government counterparts, foreign governments, and the wider development community. The Conference featured Agency leadership, reformers, and renowned scholars and practitioners and covered a range of topics from the implementation of both the Global Hunger and Food Security Initiative and Global Climate Change Initiative, to policy, administrative and business climate reform, to the intersection of economic growth, labor markets and migration.
On this site you will find the Conference agenda, information on presenters and participants, and detailed information on Conference proceedings. By clicking on “Proceedings” on the banner, you can view presentations, read Session Summaries, and, in some cases, listen to audio from the week’s plenary and breakout sessions.
